By Santosh Kumar September 16, 2026 Last updated: September 16, 2026 12 min read

You can become a seller on Meesho in under 10 minutes. Go to supplier.meesho.com, click Start Selling, enter your mobile number, add your GSTIN or Enrollment ID, add your bank account details, set your pickup address, and upload your first catalogue. Account activation takes 1 to 3 business days.

Meesho is India's largest e-commerce platform with 187 million active buyers and 400,000 plus active sellers as of 2026. Unlike Amazon and Flipkart, Meesho charges zero commission on most product categories, which means you keep your full profit from every sale. This guide covers everything a new seller needs to know from registration to first dispatch.

Why Sell on Meesho in 2026?

Before getting into the registration steps, here is why Meesho makes sense for new sellers specifically:

The zero commission model is the biggest advantage. A product you sell for Rs 300 on Meesho earns you Rs 300 minus only the shipping charge. On Amazon, the same Rs 300 sale could leave you with Rs 210 after a 30% commission cut.

How to Become a Meesho Seller: Step by Step Registration

1

Go to Meesho Supplier Panel

Open supplier.meesho.com in your browser. Do not use the Meesho shopping app -- that is for buyers. The Supplier Panel is a separate website. Click the Start Selling button on the homepage.

2

Enter Mobile Number and Verify OTP

Enter your 10-digit mobile number. You will receive a 6-digit OTP on this number. Enter the OTP to proceed. This number becomes your registered seller contact number.

3

Choose GST or Without GST

Meesho gives you two options. If you have a GSTIN, click Yes and enter your GSTIN. Meesho will automatically fetch your business name and address from GST records. If you do not have GST, click No and create an Enrollment ID using your PAN card.

4

Add Bank Account Details

Enter your bank account number and IFSC code. The account holder name must match your GST registered business name or your legal name if selling without GST. Meesho will verify this automatically. Payments are settled to this account every 7 days.

5

Set Your Pickup Address

Add the address where courier partners (Delhivery, Xpressbees, Shadowfax etc.) will come to collect your packages. This is typically your home address or warehouse address. You can add multiple pickup addresses if needed.

6

Upload Your First Product Catalogue

Download the Meesho catalogue template from the Supplier Panel. Fill in product name, description, selling price, product images, size/colour variants, and category. Upload the completed file. Your account will be reviewed and activated within 1 to 3 business days.

What to Sell on Meesho: Best Categories in 2026

Meesho buyers are primarily from tier 2 and tier 3 cities. They are looking for affordable, value-for-money products. If you are pricing products between Rs 100 and Rs 500, Meesho is the right platform for you.

CategoryWhy It WorksTypical Price Range
Women's Ethnic WearHighest volume category on Meesho. Sarees, kurtis, lehengas, suits.Rs 200 to Rs 800
Home DecorConsistent demand all year. Easy to source and pack.Rs 100 to Rs 500
Kitchen ProductsHigh repeat purchase. Buyers come back regularly.Rs 100 to Rs 400
Men's ClothingGrowing category. Less competition than women's wear.Rs 200 to Rs 600
Kids WearFast moving, seasonal peaks during festivals and school season.Rs 150 to Rs 500
Beauty ProductsHigh demand in tier 2 cities. Good margins on branded items.Rs 100 to Rs 600

Avoid highly competitive categories like electronics or mobile accessories if you are just starting. These categories require deeper inventory, faster logistics, and tighter margins. Fashion and home goods are the best starting points for new Meesho sellers.

How Meesho Payments Work

Meesho settles payments every 7 days. For every delivered order, you receive the selling price minus the shipping charge. Shipping charges are determined by your product weight and the delivery zone (local, regional, national).

Example calculation for a Rs 300 sale:

Compare this to Flipkart where the same Rs 300 sale might leave you with Rs 200 after commission. This is why Meesho works well for volume sellers with affordable products.

How to List Your First Product on Meesho

After your account is activated, listing products on Meesho is done through catalogue uploads:

  1. Go to Catalogue in the left menu of Supplier Panel
  2. Click Add Catalogue
  3. Choose your product category
  4. Download the Excel template for your category
  5. Fill in: product name, description, selling price, images, colour, size, material
  6. Upload the filled template
  7. Wait 24 to 48 hours for catalogue approval
Product photo tip Meesho buyers cannot touch or feel your product. Your photos are everything. Use a white background for the main image. Show multiple angles. For clothing, show the product both flat and on a model. Clear, high-quality photos significantly improve your conversion rate.

Understanding Meesho Order Management

Once your products are live, orders come in through the Supplier Panel. Here is how the order lifecycle works:

Meesho gives you 1 to 2 days to pack and hand over each order. Missing the handover date repeatedly leads to non-pickup penalties and can affect your seller rating.

How to Manage Meesho Shipping Labels as a New Seller

This is the part most new Meesho sellers struggle with on their first dispatch day.

When you go to Pending Shipment and click Download Shipping Labels, Meesho gives you a single PDF file. Each page in this PDF has two things: the shipping label at the top and a tax invoice at the bottom. If you print this raw PDF on your thermal printer, the text is too small to read and the barcode will not scan at the courier hub.

You need to crop out just the shipping label from each page before printing. The easiest way to do this is with Fast Label Crop -- a free tool built specifically for Meesho sellers:

  1. Download labels from Meesho Supplier Panel (Orders, Pending Shipment, Download Shipping Labels)
  2. Go to fastlabelcrop.com
  3. Upload the downloaded PDF
  4. Select Sort by Courier to group Delhivery, Xpressbees, Shadowfax labels together
  5. Click Prepare Shipping Labels
  6. Download the cropped labels and print at 100% actual size

Common Mistakes New Meesho Sellers Make

Setting prices too low

New sellers often underprice to get their first orders. Calculate your cost price, add packaging, shipping charge estimate, and a healthy margin before setting your selling price. If you price too low, you will sell a lot but earn nothing.

Not printing labels correctly

Printing raw Meesho PDFs without cropping is the most common mistake. The raw PDF has both the shipping label and invoice on the same page. Always crop your labels first and print at 100% actual size. Never use Fit to Page.

Missing dispatch dates

Meesho penalizes sellers who miss courier pickup dates. Keep your inventory ready before listing. Do not list products you do not have in stock.

Poor product photos

Blurry or dark photos significantly reduce your click-through rate. Invest in a basic phone stand and shoot near a window with natural light. White background for main product image.

Not managing returns properly

Meesho has a high return rate especially in fashion. Price your products with expected returns in mind. A 15 to 20% return rate is normal on Meesho.

Meesho Seller App vs Supplier Panel

Meesho has two interfaces for sellers:

Meesho Seller AppSupplier Panel (Web)

RecommendedFor daily order trackingFor all serious seller work

Most experienced sellers use the web Supplier Panel on a computer for catalogue work and use the Meesho Seller App on their phone for quick order checking throughout the day.

New sellers often ask which is better -- the Meesho app or the website. Use both. Check orders on the app. Do all your catalogue and report work on the website. They complement each other.

Manage Your Meesho Shipping Labels with Fast Label Crop

Once you start getting orders, your daily dispatch workflow will include downloading shipping labels from Supplier Panel and printing them. As your orders grow from 5 a day to 20 a day to 50 a day, doing this manually becomes time-consuming.

Fast Label Crop is a free tool built specifically to make this part of your Meesho seller workflow faster:

It is completely free. No signup. Works on mobile and computer. Most sellers who start using it say it saves them 20 to 30 minutes every dispatch day.
